LE TOUR DE VIS 2015
Le Tour de VIS 2015 will take place on Saturday 31st October
Start at 8:30 from Bobby's Bike Hike (E.Ohio by Jane Addams Memorial Park), with finish before 4pm and the option to finish earlier if you wish.
CONFIRMATION & MEETUP
The route and event details will be agreed and discussed in light of weather, participants and other conditions at a MeetUp at IEEE VIS 2015 in Chicago. Participants in Le Tour de VIS must attend this event to share information and sign up to ride conditions.
The MeetUp will be at 6:15 pm on Thursday 29th October in SALON 2 - please attend on time if you are riding or have ordered a jersey.

We’re planning for a ride of about 80km, starting from Bobby’s Bike Hike at 8:30, heading south to the Southshore Cultural Centre, then heading North to Evanston for a quick lunch and a loop around the Northwestern University campus. Note that the route passes back by the starting point around kilometer 35, which provides a bail-out option for anyone who needs to leave early to make a flight.

45.8km -> Monroe Beach Roundabout (end of West Montrose Harbor drive)
50km -> Ardmore Hollywood Beach - Lakefront Trail End (North) Roundabout
58km -> Other Brother Cafe, Evanston - Grove & Sherman (take Devon Ave to N. Clark St/Chicago Ave)
60km -> Northwestern Campus (northern turnaround point)
70km -> Ardmore Hollywood Beach - Lakefront Trail End (North) Roundabout
81.5km -> Bobby's Bike Hike (E.Ohio by Jane Addams Memorial Park)

PARTICIPATION AND SIGN-UP
Those wanting to participate in Le Tour de VIS 2015 should ...
- check the Terms of Reference
- use our Sign-Up Doodle - add your name and edit your entry when you have a bike confirmed
- send an e-mail to veloclubdevis@gmail to say 'Hi' and make sure we have your e-mail address
- follow @veloClubDeVIS and use #LeTourDeVIS
- train up or down depending on current fitness - remember, 100-ish km at 20 kmh minimum
- acquire a reliable road bike for use on the day
- be sure to come to the MeetUp at IEEE VIS
- enjoy the anticipation: visualization and cycling - this has to be good
