TERMS OF REFERENCE

The objective is to have a nice bike ride and see les Environs with (VIS) friends.

1.    The Velo Club de VIS will …

  • coordinate and encourage participation in the annual Tour de VIS
  • host a MeetUp or meetIng at IEEE VIS prior to each year’s ride to brief riders 
  • publicise the route and departure time and location to riders
  • use ColorBrewer colour schemes
  • consider ordering cycling jerseys if we get ourselves organised

 

2.    The Directeur Sportif – somebody with local cycling knowledge - will …

  • establish un Petit Boucle for a post-VIS ride – Le Tour de VIS
  • find / suggest bicycle rental shops in the VIScinity
  • make this information available to riders (here, through Strava, etc.)

 

3.    Les Randonneurs – those who want to participate within these terms - will …

  • acquire a suitable bike for road cycling through own initiative and at own cost
  • attend the pre-ride meeting or MeetUp at VIS
  • arrive at le Depart  in good time on the day of the ride
  • be properly equipped and capable of completing the agreed distance at 20kmh / 12.5 mph

  • ride responsibly and be responsible for their safety and safe return
