VELO CLUB de VIS - SHOP
During the pandemic shutdown, PRIMAL, our excellent club kit suppliers, are somewhat understandably low on new designs and orders. So, being flexible folks, they have opened up the opportunity to buy from our Velo Club de VIS back catalogue! If you want to celebrate the good old days of open roads and social riding by throwing some money at some colourful tight clothing - here’s your chance to order Velo Club de VIS kit from the past.
Re-live the ride under the Tour Eiffel, the crashing waves of stormy Lake Michigan (Rick, I thought we had lost you), the smooth Maryland Cold Press, the sharp Arizona Cactii, the impressive Brandenburg Gate, or the spectacular ride over the Lion Gate Bridge in Vancouver from the comfort of your own home and hastily purchased indoor trainer, by spending large amounts of money on tight fitting polyester. Or not.
You can see what’s available at the PRIMAL: Velo Club de VIS Club Shop.
£5 off the full pricing of all items until May 10th - prices as shown.
You’ll need to create an account to get in, but it’s pretty straightforward to organise. They charge for delivery. Payments go direct to them. Items go direct to you. They make money from the sales, the club doesn’t. All designs are available in cuts specifically for women and men, many are available in more relaxed sport cuts and more streamlined race cuts. In recent years we have separate sleeves to go with the short-sleeved jerseys (or the long sleeved jerseys if you get reaslly cold arms).
Open to everyone / anyone - apart from Pascal who has his whole family decked out in tonnes of this stuff 😬. Delivery is direct, so it’s pretty unlikely that I will mess up all the sizes and things this time.
See bottom of page for some ideas about recreating the Paris jersey following a couple of discussions with Velo Club de VIS riders …

VANCOUVER 2019
A lovely ride to two beautiful bays for delicious coffee on quiet roads.
Anna’s Hummingbird design by Zezhong Wang.
With pink side panels and good for CycloCross.
Wind jackets available.
You can order jerseys, sleeves, and for the first time ever … wind jackets (though the latter are not quite as cheap as they were originally - prices that apparently made the current markerting manager “wince”).
BERLIN 2018
Sketchy geometry inspired by Jo Wood. Fits over regular clothing. Kinda.
BERLIN 2018
A weird kinda grey ride to somewhere near Paderborn where we split up in a mess in the drizzle and ended up wrapped up in blankets.
Sketchy geometry design inspired by Jo Wood.
Amazing photograph sleeves that show most of us on previous rides (not shown).
Fits over regular clothing. Kinda.
Re-live the chaos by ordering jerseys as modelled by Wes and Jim or spectacular sleeves with pictures of previous rides. The sleeves freally are very very good.
PHOENIX 2017
A fantastic ride through the desert with long descents and clear roads.
Shan Shui in the World design by SHI Weili • 石伟力
Good for water intake.
Great red sleeves (not shown).
You can get jerseys and sleeves. The jerseys are epic. The sleeves rock. I used my original sleeves to test Air Canada’s lost property service. Turns out it’s terrible - so I’ll be re-ordering a pair of these.
PHOENIX 2017
Shan Shui in the World by SHI Weili • 石伟力. Good for water intake. Seems to work well with black bibs.
BALTIMORE 2016
ColorBrewer Argyle by Wes Willett. With thermal arm warmers. Makes Roger look cool and good for crossing bridges.
BALTIMORE 2016
A sunny autumn ride through rolling countryside and via a great pastry shop and a wonderful bike repair cafe where I thought Marion’s cold press was a Guiness.
ColorBrewer Argyle design by Wes Willett.
With (very warm) thermal arm warmers.
Good for crossing bridges.
ColorBrewer jerseys are fantastic, empirically tested and look great on the golf course, thermal sleeves keep you (very) warm.
CHICAGO 2015
Rainbow skyline - Catagay’s favourite. Good for a wet morning in Pret a Manger!
CHICAGO 2015
Very, very, very wet and windy. We had to cycle through a fancy dress fun run in a hurricane. We nearly lost Rick in a wave when cycling perilously close to a turbulent Lake Michigan. Great jerseys though! Relive a damp morning eating luke-warm porridge in Pret-a-Manger in your spectacular rainbow skyline gear.

Catagay’s favourite.
Long sleeve only
We only got long sleeve jerseys this year - that’s all you can order.
PARIS 2014
The group under Le Tour Eiffel.
We can recreate these jerseys if we get 5 experssions of interest. Contact veloclubdevis@gmail.com
PARIS 2014
Our very first ride. Ooh la la. That traffic. Those cobbles. We got these jerseys through SCIMITAR and so can’t reorder through PRIMAL.
BUT - PRIMAL will create new jerseys for us with a minimum order of 5. I can send a desing through and they will work on it.
If we get 5 orders, we will try to recreate the original, but will also add the names of all VELO Club de VIS cyclists onto the jersey. This will be a subtle addition to the back of the jersey. We will also add the names of all Velo Club de VIS rides, to make this a commemotarive special.
All Velo Club deVIS riders names
The Original - redesigned by PRIMAL
Long sleeve only
Differences from original - full length zip, no waterproof pocket, subtle additions to make ‘commemorative’ Velo Club de VIS design
