We ride The Tour de TypeFace on Thursday 8th September, 2016

Meet at Goswell Road Coffee at 08:20 for 08:45 start.

Get to Roger's Place in South Norwood for 09:45.

Have more coffee & porridge (donations accepted).

Apply chamois cream*

Head out at 10:30 and ride south.

Coffee and cake at The Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft, currently housing the unmissable (ends Sunday) Underground Exhibition on Edward Johnston's calligraphy (£6.50).

Then, either ... 

  1. get a train from Hassocks (80km) to Central London (£14, half hourly); or ...
  2. ride back, with the wind; or ...
  3. head on to Brighton over the Ditchling Beacon for the hell of it, dodge the surf on the Undercliff, eat on the seafront and grab a train home again after 7pm when they allow bikes back on the railway (110km);
